What: A collage button-making social event for Indivisible members (and member-curious) led by Burke county multi-media artist Lyvia Turpin! Participants will each leave with 2-3 unique handmade pressed buttons. 

Why Attend: Turn your rally sign into a personalized button that you can wear everyday! Lyvia Turpin will guide participants on how to make visually stunning collage buttons (2.25”) that make a statement. Come express yourself and enjoy a fun night of purpose-filled art with like-minded individuals. 

When: Thursday, Feb. 26 from 5:30 - 8PM (?) 

Where: 506 S. Sterling St., Morganton, NC (Burke Arts) 

Who’s Invited: Indi-B members & member-curious (Max 20, Min 15 participants)

Cost: $10 per person paid to the instructor  

Materials Provided: Button-press (1), button pieces, magazines, old books, old maps, scissors, x-acto knives, cutting mats, glue sticks, circle cutter (1) 

Event details: This is a private social event for Indivisible Burke. 

• There is no affiliation between the Burke Arts Council and this event. The event is BYOB. Participants are encouraged to bring drinks and snacks for themselves and/or to share. 

• All art materials will be provided by the instructor, but participants may also bring their own. 

• Participants are encouraged to bring their own magazines, old books, old maps, etc., to add to the selection to choose from.
