The daily barrage of news has us on edge, and we find ourselves wanting to fight back more and more. To make our voices heard, to peacefully protest, and to let our community and our government know we’re not going to take it anymore!

Our goal is simple: amplify our voices, increase our presence in the community, and show that Burke County stands for justice and democracy.

• Bring a Friend: Strength is in numbers! These are short, high-energy demonstrations designed to be accessible and impactful.

• Pro-Tip for Signs: Keep it short and bold. Drivers and passersby only have a few seconds to read your message. Think: "Liberty & Justice for ALL," "Defend Democracy," or "Neighbors Supporting Neighbors."

• A Note on Messaging: In keeping with our values, we ask that all signs and chants remain respectful. No vulgarity. We want our message to be heard by everyone, and staying focused on our positive, principled goals is the best way to do that.

• Safety First: To ensure everyone feels supported, each demonstration will have at least one designated Safety Captain on-site. They are there to help manage the flow of the event and keep our gathering peaceful and organized.
